You should have roughly as many clips as you have socks in action per wash cycle.
Assuming a weekly wash cycle, Mum needs 10 clips per week, Dad needs 10 clips per week and the kids each need 10 clips per week for school + 5-10 clips for sports, dance and generally mucking around having fun!
